Westchester Weekend Updates

Now we’re really experiencing the blustery fall weather. There is still the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors weather permitting, but now is the time when we start looking for cosy indoor spots to pass the time. Here are this weekend’s suggestions, but be sure to check websites and call ahead for reservations – particularly for the indoor venues. Have a safe enjoyable weekend!

FRIDAY, October 9

Iron Vine in Peekskill Why not stop by for ‘Happy Hour’ from 4:30pm to 7pm, but the food here is phenomenal so maybe stay for dinner too?

SATURDAY, October 10

Beacon Second Saturday Main St is the place to be to enjoy some art and food. It starts at 11am and goes until 9pm.

HV Empanada Festival Montgomery might seem like a a long way to drive for empanadas from Westchester, but this is not just about the empanadas, it promises to be a latin culinary experience in a scenic part of our Hudson Valley area. See website for details.

SUNDAY, October 11

Shadows on the Hudson Enjoy a gourmet brunch with spectacular views served from 10:30am to 2pm.

Poet’s Walk Park If the weather holds up, visit the beautifully designed landscape located in Redhook and made famous by its visitors such as Washington Irving.
